So here are a few things to keep in mind while choosing art for your office.

  • The artwork should be in correspondence to the furniture. Either it should all merge together as one, or you can choose to keep minimalist furniture and bold abstract art.
  • Choose artwork which you feel is a reflection of your firm. Office is an extension of the work life and the art here, should have aspects that inspire and create the work life balance. The artwork should create an environment conducive of productivity.
  • Choose the colors to influence mood. Bright colors like yellow, red and blue can ignite energy and exuberance. Keep artworks that have the same colors as the logo of your company.
  • Not everyone is going to agree on the same artwork. So let the employees choose the art for their individual cabins, while the conference rooms, cafeteria and other public spaces can have art that has majority likes.
